<div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">&nbsp;</span><br />There are really two different ways of beginning a bodybuilding regime; the easy way and the hard way. </p>
<p>Which one of the two you choose for yourself will determine the extent to which you will stick to the regime and thereby prove a success. Since you have a choice obviously you will have to prepare a proper well etched out plan for yourself in order to select the right option. If you are like me (and like thousands of other smart people all over the world) you will no doubt choose to pursue the easy way, in which case you will have to start with a solid workout plan and get it all written down on paper.&nbsp; </p>
<p>Preparing a workout plan is in many ways comparable to the sort of New Year resolution planning we all tend to do. Of course most of us tend to give up the resolutions within a day or two, but here there is really no giving up. </p>
<p>Promises are hard to keep, simply because most of tend to make difficult promises. Most of us do not stick by the resolutions we make at the beginning of the year because our goals are not realistic. When we promise to quit smoking in the new year we ignore the fact that giving up smoking is a gradual process and needs time. </p>
<p>So the smart way to give up smoking would be to smoke about 4 cigarettes a day, then bring it down to 2 and so on. There is no point expecting to give up smoking just like that simply because we have promised to.&nbsp; </p>
<p>Similarly, when you plan your bodybuilding regime keep in mind that it needs a set of achievable goals to really work out. You wont turn into a Stallone in a month so don&rsquo;t intend to, give yourself a relaxed time limit of say 6 months for that. Also, remember when you are just beginning you will not have the kind of stamina a professional athlete or an experience bodybuilder will have so don&rsquo;t get disheartened if you can&rsquo;t keep up with Arnie (who has been practicing for 2 years now) on your first workout session itself. Don&rsquo;t make your gym session an ego tussle, you have nothing to prove anything to here. Take time relax and judge your progress astutely.&nbsp; </p>
<p>When you start your regime keep it to no more than 2 days in a week. Make sure you have at least 2 hours of time in your hand so that you don&rsquo;t have to hurry through the workout. Start with a few cardio exercises so as to charge your muscles up. Spend a bit of time on the treadmill or try some spinning, anything that will pump up your heart to about 80% of its usual capacity is a good choice. Even if you don&rsquo;t want to begin with the cardiovascular exercises make sure you do them after your exercise regime so as to help your body burn more fat.</p></div>

<br />No. The first thing you need to know is you&#8217;re been using a website full of bad information. Bodybuilding.com is a scam site for the purpose of selling supplements. It&#8217;s full of bad information and the worst place to get information. You wouldn&#8217;t be asking your question if it was a good website. <p>The worst people you can turn to for bodybuilding information is &#8211; as counter intuitive as it may seem &#8211; bodybuilders. They get by on great genes, bad information, and steroids. If you really want to build your body, you need an education. Here&#8217;s one way to get it.</p>

<p>Once you&#8217;ve done the above, you&#8217;ll have a tiny bit of what you need to know to create your own personal training program. How you train must be goal oriented. That means you MUST create goals or you won&#8217;t even know where to begin. After that comes your method of training and that will depend on goals, other physical exercise you be involved in such as sports, the facilities available to you, your soma type, your daily schedule of nondiscretionary activities, etc. </p>
<p>Done right so as to realize optimal results, your plan will necessarily be complex. You must take detailed notes about every workout so you can monitor your progress. You must ensure you&#8217;re not over or under training. And much, much more. </p>
<p>For example, I train anaerobically three times a week using a triple split. I can&#8217;t train any muscle more than once per week because I&#8217;m 60 and well trained. I never do the same exercise twice during a workout. I use HIT as opposed to conventional sets &amp; reps. Here&#8217;s how that works.</p>
<p>Most bodybuilders and noobs spend much more time working out than they need to. The result is often over training. You only need to do one set of each exercise. There&#8217;s no point in doing more and those people you see cranking out set after set of the same exercise are just wasting time.</p>
<p>The purpose of resistance training to failure is to stimulate growth by creating sufficient muscle microtrauma. If you do an exercise correctly one time, you&#8217;ll accomplish that purpose and weaken the muscle. Because you&#8217;ve weakened the muscle you will be unable to lift the same or heavier weight for the same set duration and, hence, unable to create more microtrauma. If you try, you&#8217;ll spend more time lifting with no more results and, hence, waste time and effort.</p>
<p>Having accomplished your one set goal, you need to provide sufficient recovery time. This is where most people fail. As soon as you&#8217;re ready to train hard &#8211; six weeks into your prep to get past the soreness &#8211; you&#8217;ll need to determine your optimal recovery time. You do that by measuring the duration (elapsed time) of each set and the resistance. If you cannot preform for longer after your recovery period, you&#8217;re over training and need to add more time. Once you get to a 2 minute set duration you should increase the resistance. It&#8217;s better to have more recovery time than less. Studies show the residual effect of a set can last well beyond the optimal recovery time but if you don&#8217;t get to that point, the muscle cannot reach its maximum growth.</p>
<p>To ensure a proper warm up and maximum neural drive, perform your sets with about 20 second reps&#8230;ten for the concentric and ten for the eccentric phase. Your form MUST be perfect with no sudden thrusting movements. The muscle must be under constant tension for the duration..not lockouts and no pauses on either end. Breathing should be normal. Use a weight that is about 70-80% of the maximum you can move for each exercise.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s HIT and it&#8217;s only one technique&#8230;I think the best but other have other opinions. So, designing a plan is not easy and it&#8217;s naive to think you can ask a question in the forum and satisfy all of the attendant challenge.</p>
