    You always want to be careful when performing this exercise. Going to heavy will cause your shoulders a degree of stress especially if you are already suffering from a injured or weak shoulder.With isolation exercises like this it’s all about form not weight.     Try to get a physician to give you a diagnosis.If you get the OK to continue make sure you concentrate more on the contraction of the triceps and the form and avoid causing any unnatural pain.     This is an isolation exercise ,you might be going to heavy . Lighten up and concentrate more on the contraction and form.

    Yes. Heavy weights and moderate repetitions for mass.
    Lighter weights and an increased number of repetitions for seperation and definition.

    Michaels video concentrate more on seperation and definition than building up mass. You should watch the rest of them, they’re pretty helpful and insightful.
