You should wait until you are older. Do your homework before you start.

13? Kind of young to start training proffessionally.

I suggest letting yourself grow first, you have all of high school to grow and let your body natural be to where it’s supposed to be. If you work out too soon, you might strengthen bones too early which will fuse too soon, and you might be shorter than expected.

I recommend for you to join sports. Keep active, and eat plenty, and drink plenty of water. Running and cardio is good. The thing is kid, bodybuilding is almost like a science. Many details you have to know before you get into it. And you also have to know what body type you’re looking for, and etc.

So as for lifting weights, hold that off for another 2 years or so. You can do normal pushups, and pullups, even lift dumbells for arms. But as for the heavy stuff, hold on for awhile.

Wooo wooo.. dont lift weitht yet! it will make you short because your muscle and bone still growing. You dont want to be a shorty are you?.. right now you can run at least 2 to 3 hours a day and do some push up, sit up,and pull up. at least 100 to 500 a day you will be really strong. by the time you reach 18 you really bump by them. Trust me. and eat lot of protien and vegetable. dont over eat though.. good luck.

There’s more to it. You have to balance your vitamins. Start out running for about 15 minutes and then go to 20 minutes then 30 and so on. Dont start lifting yet. just do push ups and squats.

other than the growth side, as your bones are still growing, it will cause curvature (and thus weakening), so if you want to be big, but bow legged with potential for many long term injuries and pain a lot in later life – well have fun.

13 is somewhat a younger age to start body building unless your weight is excessive than average. Lifting weights at this age may prevent your body from a good height.
You might want to tone up your body initially. I started this at 17. I used to do pull-ups and push-ups; they don’t require you to spend money. Start from 5/day and increase gradually.
If you have no other physical activity like playing outdoor sports, then running 2 miles/day is enough. Also have a healthy diet rich in Protein, Fiber, Vitamins. Drink Milk regularly.
